IDEA Careers | IDX Administrator
FUNCTION: Provide IDEA customers Industry Data Exchange (IDX) training, system implementation assistance and technical support. Establish programs and processes that will more easily facilitate the adoption and integration of the IDX with distributor and manufacturer back end business systems. Serve as the prime IDX technical support contact for IDEA customers.
REPORTS TO: Director, Products & Services
DESCRIPTION:
- Assist customers with IDX set up and implementation - coordinate with service provider, oversee IDX connection and implementation and attend all production meetings
- Provide IDX customer technical support to address and solve customer problems
- Provide network performance metrics, customer usage metrics, overall EDI traffic metrics to enable management to react accordingly to variation in traffic and explain traffic anomalies and to monitor performance and to initiate corrective and preventive actions
- Provide activity reports as required for the board report and service provider management
- Assist customers with back end systems integration issues
- Schedule and conduct IDX Tracker training sessions to manufacturer and distributor customers
- Coordinate with customer service staff and schedule new customer installations
- Implement a customer evaluation and feedback process
- Interface with contract service providers on all network technical and performance criteria and guarantees
- Coordinate all operational activities with the IDX VAN provider - set up and track customer problems and conduct continuous follow-up and interface to remedy technical problems
- Participate in IDEA annual events as well as industry events that provide opportunity to interface with current and future IDEA subscriber base
- Act as industry spokesperson when required - represent company with applicable outside technical and standards organizations
- Participate in IDEA committees - provide insights on IDX customer needs and recommendations
- Make recommendations on ways to improve technical support service and system implementation/integration
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in Business, E-commerce, Information Systems or Technology
- Good math aptitude and, prior experience with statistics, forecasting and trend analysis processes
- Minimum two years experience in technical support; experience with electronic commerce and software ERP programs highly desired
- Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and other Office applications required
- Experience with CRM application such as Sales Force, Netsuite or similar products highly desired
