Hubbell Power Systems Supplying Nets into Stock via the IDW

IDEA is proud to announce that Hubbell Power Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hubbell Incorporated, has loaded their Net Pricing information into the Industry Data Warehouse. The data includes the brands of Anderson, Chance®, Fargo®, Hubbell Cable Accessories and Ohio Brass®. The IDW Net Price into Stock feature enables manufacturers to populate all their net price files in one location with security to allow only authorized distributors to download their specific Net Price data.

This initiative is also in the final stages for Hubbell Wiring Systems, including Hubbell Wiring Device - Kellems®, Hubbell Premise Wiring and Bryant®, and an announcement on net pricing from Hubbell Electric Products, (RACO®, Bell®, Killark® and Wiegmann®) will be released shortly.

According to Irena Glinskaia, technical coordinator for IDW data at Hubbell Incorporated, many Hubbell distributors feel that the Net Pricing being supplied via IDW is the most important data for them to validate pricing, as a number of errors in the processing of transactions are related to net pricing being out of sync with the manufacturer.

“Ensuring that accurate Net Price information is in the IDW is an important cost-saving practice to Hubbell Incorporated. Without the IDW, employees and reps have to create spreadsheets, e-mail confidential information or burn CD’s. This is a lot of manual work that takes time away from sales and service support,” said Glinskaia.

“If more trading partners utilize the IDW to receive this information, it benefits all parties involved because the IDW offers better security than e-mail or CD’s and a reduction in manual operations. The whole program just makes good business sense,” said Glinskaia.

Distributors are encouraged to take advantage of this information and speak with your Hubbell representative or IDW team contact.

Manufacturers are also encouraged to follow the leadership of the following companies who are currently meeting their distributors’ demands and supplying their Nets into Stock:

3M - Electrical Products Division
Cooper Crouse-Hinds
Hubbell Incorporated
ILSCO Corporation
Leviton Manufacturing Company, Inc.
Lutron Electronics, Co.
Pass & Seymour/Legrand
Schneider Electric
