Reports to: Manager, Data Synchronization Platform

Job Objective and Role:  Increase and maintain awareness of IDEA’s data synchronization platform as the premiere method of delivering standardized, synchronized content. This position will be responsible for monitoring and managing all activities and processes that impact the quality of data available to customers. This person will work with manufacturers, distributors, software providers and IDEA staff to help resolve data quality issues and define and execute strategies to improve data quality. This person will analyze data and ensure customer satisfaction with overall quality of data and reports. Duties will include validation of data updates, cleansing/correcting data errors, monitoring report and query performance, troubleshooting data issues, and documenting processes and results. Duties also include developing close working relationships with customers and data suppliers to acquire complete, attributed, quality data desired by the data users. The person must be able to function with minimal supervision/direction and regularly operate under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

As the data quality professional you will:

• Drive continuous improvement of data management and analysis for manufacturer data quality improvement efforts.
• Cultivate managerial and lines of business contacts within manufacturer organizations
• Write code to import and extract appropriate data subsets and write queries to identify inconsistent or inaccurate data quality.
• Provide actionable data quality analysis reports
• Build and improve tools to efficiently automate data analysis and manipulation tasks.
• Provide leadership and recommendations to the manufacturers on enhancing data quality.
• Manage loading/input of supplier data from manufacturers and 3rd party vendors into the data synchronization platform
• Obtain transactional and marketing data from new and existing manufacturers
• Develop close working relationships with customers and data suppliers to acquire complete, attributed, quality data desired by the data users and resolve issues as necessary
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
• Other projects as assigned

Education and Experience

• Technical proficiency with relational databases and large data structures.
• Experience with validity checking and developing methods to identify data inconsistency and inaccuracy
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word, and SQL.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• BA in Computer Science or equivalent 3-5 years related work experience
