IDEA champions standards.

IDEA is the official standards creating and setting body for the electrical industry. IDEA partners with GS1 US in developing United Nations Standard Products and Services Codes (UNSPSC®). These classification codes can be used in correlation to the first industry-approved Electrical Product Attribute Schema for the new era of eCommerce. The official standards and best practices released by the IDEA Standards Committee can be found on the IDEA Customer Portal under “Training”.

Those same standards translate to other industries.

Many of the standards we've created address business-to-business communications, data content and quality and product information challenges that are common to most industries. As a result, the standards-based infrastructure upon which our products and services are built, helps deliver the same time- and money-saving benefits to countless industries who rely on clean data and efficient practices to drive costs out of the supply chain.
