A Quick and Easy Way to Share IDEA News and Education

Are you active on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter or do you simply like to share valuable content with colleagues? Now you can quickly share your favorite This Week in IDEA and Trade News articles with a click of a button.

You’ll notice new icons that appear under the headlines of each article published on IDEA’s website – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email, Favorites, Print and over 300 more sharing tools that appear when you click on the “plus icon.” This sharing tool makes it fast and easy for you to spread the word about news and educational material published on IDEA’s website. For example, if you click on the Twitter icon, the tool automatically shortens the article URL for you and populates the title of the article in your tweet. From there, you can tweet as is or add a personal comment.

Sharing helpful articles on social media sites is a great way to become a thought leader in your field and grow your professional network; we hope you find this new tool helpful as you engage online. My IDEA Portal Tip: Accounting Forms Available for Download

All IDEA customers can now download the most-requested accounting forms on the IDEA Portal including an IRS Form W9, Electronic Funds Transfer and Auto Pay for Automatic Credit Card Processing.

These forms offer great opportunities to decrease the amount of paper statements and manual processes surrounding your financials. Once you sign up for auto pay and provide your credit card information, we will automatically process your solution and service usage on a regular schedule. With the Electronic Funds Transfer form, you can access IDEA’s banking information to pay electronically instead of writing checks.

All three accounting forms are now available on the IDEA Portal. You can download them by logging in with your user name and password, navigating to Standards and searching for Service: Other and Document Type: Resources. Please contact your if you have any problems accessing the files.

New B2B eCommerce and Synchronization Customers

IDEA welcomes two new IDW customers, two new IDX customers and 12 new IRD CERICOMX customers. Read more about these companies and how you can begin trading with them electronically to expand your business.

New IDW Customer

Techline Manufacturing of Spanish Fort, Alabama, a subsidiary of Technical Specialties, became an IDEA customer on January 26, 2011. Techline is a domestic manufacturer of instrument and tubing support systems including: tubing supports, instrument stands, wire and tubing clamps, condensate chambers, air headers, and several other custom manufactured items. They will utilize the IDW Data Synchronization Platform to synchronize product and pricing information with their supply partners. Techline is a proud member of NAED. MacLean Power Systems of Franklin Park, IL became an IDEA customer on January 31, 2011. MacLean is a leading manufacturer of products for electric utility, telecommunications and civil markets. New IDX Customer

Tri-State Industrial, an industrial distributor of Altoona, PA, became an IDEA customer on January 26, 2011. They will take advantage of the cost savings and reliability of Industry Data Exchange (IDX) to exchange B2B documents electronically.

Jokell, Inc. of Chesapeake, VA became an IDEA customer on January 21, 2011. Jo-Kell is an electrical distributor and solutions provider serving the military, commercial marine, and industrial markets. They will also take advantage of the cost savings and reliability of Industry Data Exchange (IDX) to exchange B2B documents electronically. Find out more at www.jokell.com.  

New IRD CERICOMX® Customers

As a 1SYNC Data Pool On-Board Solution (OBS) partner, IDEA implements suppliers that subscribe to the 1SYNC data pool using the IRD CERICOMX® Data Synchronization Platform. IDEA was recently assigned 12 suppliers:

These companies will be trained to use IRD CERICOMX®, an online catalog that suppliers use to register product data with the GS1 Registry® and GDSN via the 1SYNC Data Pool. Suppliers also use this solution to publish product data to demand partners including retailers such as Lowe’s and Walmart.
